Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez, houten sculpturen
 
In 1971 geboren in Bad Tölz (Beieren, Duitsland), tekende al jong alles wat hem omringde, mensen, dieren, dingen. Jürgen Lingl-Rebetez is in staat om met zijn sculpturen van dieren de kijker uit de dagelijksheid te laten ontsnappen. Het is een voorbeeld van hoe een gedreven en gepassioneerd kunstenaar, die ook de techniek beheerst, in staat is met een ‘muis een voetbalveld' stil te krijgen. De sculpturale dieren zijn realistisch, maar tegelijkertijd ontstijgen deze als beeld de werkelijkheid en zetten ze de toeschouwer aan tot gevoelsmatig herbeleven van het dierenrijk. Stil als een muis kijkt een op ‘schetsmatige wijze' uitgehouwen trotse haan ons aan. Met pastelkleuren zijn hier en daar op de kettinggezaagde textuur vegen aangebracht. Wat de poëzie van het moment in gevoelswaarde vergroot. Het komt misschien door de tegenstelling van het materiaal en de techniekkeuze - vers hout dat wordt uitgehouwen met een kettingzaag en het gebruik van de voor het oog vederlichte waterige pastellen of organisch ogende donkerder tinten, en het beeld dat het bij mij (als beschouwer én kunstenaar) oproept van een ‘stoere' werkwijze en beheersing van zo'n ruw gereedschap als de kettingzaag en al het werk wat in deze beelden er vol liefde inzit - dat deze beelden schoonheid en troost bezitten. Waarschijnlijk komt het ook door de schetsmatige uitwerking van de sculpturen, zeg maar… ‘af, in het onaffe'.
