VINICIUS PARISI Brazilian

Graduated in Industrial Design from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Vinicius bases his work on dialogues between figurative painting and materiality, navigating through the languages of object, sculpture, and drawing. The exploration and selection of materials—especially wood as a support—highlight their importance in the artist’s research and how their sensory qualities and manipulability influence the perception of each work.

The use of the human figure and form as a conduit in his practice suggests integration between the viewer and the virtuality of representation as well as intervention in materiality, proposing the transformation of both the object and its handler. He remains influenced in his works by the processes and materials commonly used in the manufacturing and painting of surfboards, where he began his first artistic experiments. Vinicius lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.
