Blossom

‘Imagination, Curiosity and Joy’ – these 3 elements have been always the core of my creativity. I

always believe that the power of imagination makes us infinite, the purpose of Art and Design should

lead us to the fantasy experiences through the creation, presenting us unextraordinary beauty with a

pleasure. For me Art has been sort of play influenced by my childhood, especially working with such

an intriguing material - clay awakens my senses and intuition. My bold, colorful sculptures speak out

vivid dialogues which is often described as delicious ceramic universe. Since the pandemic, my work

and giving a hint of happiness in my artwork. My humorous, animal-like, curious creatures are more

like imaginary cartoon characters in my life as it is a part of my stories inspired by the people who has

a close relationship from my memories and childhood. Each of characters has an individual name with

different attitudes and allures. As an example, i created a funky sculpture with psychedelic patterns

named ‘Bowie’, which is reminiscence of my close friend in UK who was a huge fan of David Bowie.

The joyful creatures invite the viewer onto a fantasy voyage whilst enhancing our imagination. In

parallel to the animal sculptures, there is also flora forms of ‘Blossom’, a flower never fall – which

illustrates an everlasting beauty with something newborn and new kind of life. Conceptually driven by

the ideas something comes into bloom in our lives as a new beginning after resilience of an unusual

tough time of Pandemic. I wish my whimsical creatures could lift our mood to shaken our emotions to

become more happy and optimistic!
